A field experiment was conducted during two consecutive winter seasons 90/89 and 91/90 in the Bagrjo region, which is guaranteed rain, in order to evaluate some types of annual leguminous fodder (Sulaimani local cocos, Duhok local cocos, Sulaymaniyah local polka and Duhok local cocos) and study the effect of four dates. For planting, starting from the beginning of November, with a period of (15) days between one date and another, depending on the characteristics of growth and forage yield.
The results of this research indicated that there were no significant differences between the three species in the characteristics of plant height and green forage yield, while type (4) was significantly superior in the number of forks/girls, dry yield and percentage of dry matter, and type (3) was significantly superior in the characteristic of The percentage of leaves, while all these species proved successful under the conditions of the region when planted during the period (1-15) November.
