Effect of bacterial inoculation and phosphate fertilization on growth and yield of lentils

A field experiment was conducted during two consecutive winter seasons 90/91 - 91/92 in the rainy region of Bakra Jaw, in order to study the response of lentils to inoculation with the specialized streptococcus bacterium Rhizobium leguminosarum at two levels (without inoculation and inoculation with bacteria) and mineral phosphate fertilization at five levels. :
(0, 30, 60, 90, 12 kg P2O5/ha) on the formation of root nodes and some growth characteristics and local yield of lentils (Lens culinaris (Medic). The results of this study indicated that pollinated plants were significantly superior to non-pollinated plants in average plant length (cm), dry matter weight/plant (g), number of root nodes/plant, seed yield (kg/ha), number of pods/plant, and weight of one thousand seeds. (gm), while the bacterial inoculation and the interaction between treatments did not have a significant effect on the average number of branches / plant and the number of seeds / pod for both seasons, as for the effect of phosphate fertilization, the results indicate that the fertilization was at a rate of 90 kg P2O5 / ha Significant effect on all the studied traits, except for the average number of seeds/pod, for both seasons.
